今回は、「チャンネル紹介動画」について案内します。「チャンネル紹介動画」は、そのチャンネルがどのようなテーマを持っていていかに魅力的な動画を流すチャンネルかということを伝える動画で、チャンネル未登録者にだけ表示されます。チャンネルページの一番上の目立つ場所に表示され、初めて見てもらう動画となります。それでは早速、「チャンネル紹介動画」を表示するための事前設定から見ていきましょう。
チャンネル紹介動画表示のための事前設定
「チャンネル紹介動画」を表示するためには、事前に、「チャンネルレイアウトのカスタマイズ」を有効にしなければなりません。
１． チャンネルページで、チャンネルアートのすぐ下にあるチャンネル名にマウスポインタをあて、右側に表示された鉛筆マークをクリックします。
２．「チャンネルナビゲーションを編集」をクリックします。
３．表示されたチャンネルナビゲーション画面の、「一覧/ 一覧ビューではコンテンツの表示をカスタマイズできます・・・」の右側にある「有効にする」を選択し、画面下部の「保存」をクリック。
以上で、「チャンネル紹介動画」表示の準備ができました。
チャンネル紹介動画の表示設定を行う
続いて、「チャンネル紹介動画」を設定していきましょう。
１．あらかじめチャンネル紹介動画を作成し、YouTubeにアップロードしておきます。
チャンネル紹介動画は、何が何だか分からず訪れた人が飽きずに見終えられるように、あまり長くなりすぎず（1分程度までが良いでしょう）、テンポよく作ることが望ましいです。バックグラウンドミュージックを入れてムードを作ったり、チャンネル登録アイコンやWEBページ紹介のカードを設置するなど色々と工夫をしてみましょう。
また、動画の説明には、チャンネルの特徴や魅力を載せましょう。特に最初の一文は、どのようなチャンネルなのかが一目で分かるように文を作ると良いでしょう。
２．先ほどのチャンネルレイアウトのカスタマイズを有効にしたことで、チャンネルページ上にカスタマイズタブが表示されているはずです。「新規の訪問者向け」タブを選択します。
３．この時点では、チャンネル紹介動画はまだ設定されていません。「チャンネル紹介動画」をクリックします。
４．表示された「チャンネル紹介動画の選択」ページで、チャンネル紹介動画を選択し、画面下の「保存」をクリックします。
以上で、「チャンネル紹介動画」の設定が完了です。
これで、初めてチャンネルを訪問した人にも動画の魅力を余すところなく伝えられますね。ちなみに、既にチャンネル登録しているユーザには、「チャンネル紹介動画」の代わりに「次のおすすめ」動画が表示されます。この動画は初期値では、「まだ観ていない動画」が表示されることになっています。YouTubeも色々と工夫をしてくれていますね！次回は「動画に素敵なバックグラウンドミュージックを付け加える」を案内します。お楽しみに！
