の4つに分類し、これらが事業や経営状況にどのような影響を与えているのか、そして今後どのような影響を与え得るのかを確認・分析する方法です。
PEST分析は、国内の外部環境の調査だけでなく、海外との取引や海外進出を検討する際にも使えます。為替の変動や金利状況はもちろん、政党の交替による政策の大きな変化や、日本とは異なる基準による法規制などが取引に大きな影響を及ぼす事もあるでしょう。
マクロ環境を読み解くためのツール
・官公庁の統計情報や白書
観光庁が発行する訪日外国人の消費動向、消費者庁の通信機器の普及率推移など、国全体の様々な動向を見ることができます。
・Googleのツールを活用する
Googleは、マーケティングに欠かせないツールを色々提供しています。
・Googleアラートは、キーワード設定した言葉に関連性の高いニュースページや情報サイトを定期的にメールやRSS形式で届けてくれます。

Googleは他にも、長期的なキーワードの検索数変動を調べられるGoogleTrendsも提供しています。
上記以外にも、Yahoo!の「Yahoo! DMP」などのビッグデータ情報の活用、各企業や団体が随時発表するリサーチ結果などが挙げられます。
