知っておくべきコンバージョンの知識

コンバージョンという指標は、Web広告を運用するに当たってとても重要なことです。リスティング広告などのネット広告の中では、コンバージョンとはユーザーのとる最終的なアクションのことを指します。コンバージョンの定義は業種やサービス、目的によっても異なります。主に、会員登録、資料請求、お問合せ、購入などをコンバージョンと設定することになります。

 

例えば、ECサイトでは、商品の購入完了をコンバージョンとし、学校系、住宅系の業種であれば資料請求、セミナーやイベント関連であれば予約完了などとなります。それぞれの業種によりコンバージョンの定義は違いますし、価値も違います。ですので、一概にコンバージョン率やCPAという比較はできません。定義を同じとした範囲内で比較する必要があります。

 

また、Web広告を運用するに当たって、コンバージョンを計測しなければWeb集客を成功させることはできません。なぜかというと、どの広告をクリックして申し込みをしたのか、どんなキーワードで検索したユーザーが登録したのか、購入したかが分からなければ、どこをどのように改善して良いのか分かりません。いくら広告がクリックされていても、そこからコンバージョンに至ったかどうかが分からなければ意味がありません。広告のクリック率が高くてもコンバージョンしていない広告ということもありえるのです。

 

このコンバージョンを正しく理解していないと間違った判断をし兼ねません。

 

まず、リスティング広告ではコンバージョンのカウント方法を選ぶことができます。

 

カウント方法

コンバージョンのカウント方法には「すべてのコンバージョン数」と「１回のコンバージョン数」があります。どちらを選択して計測するかによって結果の数値が違います。

 

「すべてのコンバージョン数」

一人のユーザーが、商品を２つ購入した場合、購入のアクションは2回なのでコンバージョン数は２とカウントします。

 

「１回のコンバージョン数」

一人のクリックユーザーが複数回コンバージョンしても、1回とカウントされます。1回の広告クリックに対してお問い合わせと資料請求など複数コンバージョンしたとしてもコンバージョンは1となり、2回目以降のコンバージョンはカウントされません。商品や問い合わせの数よりも、獲得したユーザー数を評価する形です。

 

すべてのコンバージョンと1回のコンバージョンとの違いは、アクション単位で計測するのかユーザー単位で計測するのかということになります。
どちらを指標とするかで評価される数値が変わります。クライアント側との認識が違うと行き違いが生じることになります。

 

アトリビューションコンバージョン

コンバージョンには、直接コンバージョンと間接コンバージョンがあります。直接コンバージョンとは、広告をクリックして離脱せずにそのままコンバージョンに至った場合のことを示します。しかし、見込み客の性質として、比較検討するものであることから一度広告をクリックしてから離脱し、比較検討した後で、サイトに戻りコンバージョンに至るということも考えられます。この実際直接コンバージョンしていないが、最初の流入先が広告であるといった間接的な効果を計測することを間接コンバージョンと言います。アトリビューション（間接効果）を測ることは本来とても重要なことです。Web広告では、基本的にラストクリックを計測する仕組みですが、ラストクリックコンバージョンだけにとらわれると施策を誤り、潜在顧客を逃すことになり兼ねません。

 

ビュースルーコンバージョン

バナー広告での効果を計測する指標です。バナーなどのイメージ広告では視覚効果が考えられます。バナーをクリックしなくてもバナーが表示されただけで、ユーザーにインパクトを与えられる可能性もあります。具体的には、バナーの表示はされたけれどクリックしなかったユーザーが、30日以内に別の経路を通ってコンバージョンした数を指します。ビュースルーコンバージョンの数値からイメージ広告がユーザーに与える間接的に影響を知ることができます。

 

コンバージョンと一言で言っても、いろいろな指標があり、様々な方向から計測することが可能です。目先のコンバージョン数だけにとらわれず、本来の効果を追求し、施策に活かしていきましょう。
